Rural Passivhaus

The new house will replace existing stables and farm buildings. The design needed to be appropriate to the countryside setting and comprise part of a group of  buildings associated with a small farm settlement.  It also required sensitivity to the setting of the adjacent listed farmhouse , plus two further separately listed smaller  farm buildings.  The new house is for a couple seeking accommodation that can adapt to the possible future needs of their senior years, whilst at the same time providing a wonderful focus for their friends and extended family.
